LSA is eastern Iowa’s premier LGBTQ+ Softball League and was founded in the Fall of 2017. LSA is a non-profit 501(c)3 and is committed to providing opportunity and a safe space where both LGBT and Non-LGBT participants can compete in an environment welcoming and open to the LGBTQ+ community. Participants must be 18+ and pay league fees for each season. Games are played Sunday Mornings from 10:00am-1:00pm at either the Hawkeye Softball Complex or Mercer Park in Iowa City. We have 2 seasons (Spring/Summer and Fall) that run from late April to late October.
See you at the ball field!
Sunday 5/14 is week 3 of our league schedule, but first LSA would like to give a Happy Mother’s Day! shout out to all moms in our LSA family, and to our own moms as well.
Here is the week 3 schedule:
If you will be playing tomorrow, please feel free to come for all 3 games as we know that every team may need a few subs.
If you are not able to play this Sunday, please be sure to let your team coach know.
The weather could also impact games tomorrow as it is supposed to rain off and on this evening until tomorrow morning.
If the games need to be cancelled due to rain / wet conditions we will post on the Facebook pages, and on the LSA website, and send an email to everyone, before 9:00am Sunday morning.
You may go to:
Here you can see cancellation information for Mercer Park. The image above shows what this Rainout site looks like, and the Rainout site is normally updated between 8:30-9:00am.
We hope Mother Nature will be good to us for Mother's Day - See you tomorrow!
If you are still thinking about playing, it is not too late - the registration link for our Spring Season will remain live for late joining players!
